Home Invasion In Bear, Man Shot

 

Newark – Just after 6:00 a.m. on Monday, 10/3/2016, New Castle County patrol officers responded to Gogh Circle in reference to a shooting, according to New Castle County Spokesman John-Paul Piser.

Piser said that when officers arrived they found a 44-year-old male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  The victim stated two suspects entered his residence and stole items, shooting him in the process.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Piser.

During the course of processing the scene, detectives encountered suspected explosive materials. The Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team responded and ensured the scene was not a threat to the community and safe for further processing.
