Rehoboth Leather Store Robbed At Gunpoint

Rehoboth BeachDelaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a leather store in Rehoboth Beach, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Gary Fournier.

Fournier said that at around 8:40 p.m., Saturday October 2, 2016, a male suspect, armed with an unknown type handgun, entered Leather Central located at 36983 Rehoboth Avenue Extended.

The suspect approached a male clerk who was standing behind the counter and demanded cash, Fournier said. The clerk complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then exited the store and fled in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’08” tall, 160 lbs., wearing dark colored clothing and white sneakers.  Armed with an unknown type handgun.
