Georgetown – The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into a serious hit and run pedestrian crash which has claimed the life of Isabel Velasquez-Perez, 56 of Georgetown.
The investigation suggests Velasquez-Perez was struck by a black vehicle along Oak Street in the area of Garden Circle within the County Seat Garden Mobile Home Development.
Troopers responded to the entrance of County Seat Garden Mobile Home Development off Wilson Road around 5:48 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016, for a report of a woman lying on the side of the road. Upon troopers and Emergency Medical Services arrival, a 56-year-old female from was treated on scene by paramedics and then airlifted to Beebe Healthcare where she is currently listed in critical condition.
Preliminary investigation suggests the woman was struck by an unknown vehicle along Oak Street in the area of Garden Circle within the development. No vehicle description is available at this time.
