Man Robs 7-11 For Cigarettes

Wilmington Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Wilmington area 7-11 store that occurred early this morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.

Hale said that at approximately 4:24 a.m. Tuesday morning, November 6, 2016, as a man entered the 7-11 located at 4865 Governor Printz Blvd, Wilmington demanded cigarettes.

The suspect implied that he was armed, however, a weapon was not displayed, said hale.The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cigarettes to him .The suspect then exited the store and fled on foot in a southbound direction on Governor Printz Blvd. The employee was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black male. He was approximately 45 years of age, 5’10-6’00″ tall, weighed 180-200 lbs., and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, and black pants.
