Milford Chamber Donates $3000 To Boys & Girls Club

Milford – The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford, Executive Director Jo Schmeiser, presented the Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Tod Van Eyken with a $3,000.00 donation check for their help and participation with the 10th Annual Holiday Auction & Tastes of Milford.  In addition to the donation to the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club, the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford donated over $14,000 to local non-profit members in 2016.

boys-and-girlsThe Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club offers numerous program areas that challenge and develop the mind and body of their young members.  Along with helping members build a solid foundation on which to develop moral and ethical values through diverse educational programs and social activities.

For 85 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has impacted thousands of lives across Delaware, they are the largest licensed provider of childcare in Delaware and the only statewide Boys & Girls Club in the nation.

Club programs teach life skills, conflict resolution and focus on the development of character.  Clubs also provide members with positive role models and a nurturing environment that help improve decision-making skills.
