Porsche Slams Into Hockessin Cleaners

Hockessin – Troopers are investigating a crash in which an operator drove his vehicle into a building this morning, according to State Police Spokesman Sergeant Richard D. Bratz

Bracleaners-crash2tz said that just before 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016 as Duane D. Werb, 66 of Hockessin, was operating a 2005 Porsche Boxster in the parking lot of Reynold’s Cleaners located at 7460 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin.

As the Porsche pulled into a parking space Werb accelerated over the sidewalk and struck the building with its front bumper, said Bratz. The Porche continued through the building and came to a stop with the vehicle halfway through the wall of the business.

Duane D. Werb, the driver of the Porsche Boxster, did not recognize he pushed his accelerator pedal instead of his brake. There were no injuries in the collision. He was cited for Careless driving.
