Police: Newark Man Arrested For Indecent Exposure

Newark – The New Castle County Police have charged Michael Lenihan, 25 from Heather Road in Newark with multiple counts of indecent exposure in the first degree, according to a statement released on Friday.

New Castle County Spokeswoman Cpl. Tracey Duffy said that on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at around 4:30 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to a home in the unit block of Heather Road (Heather Woods) for the report of an indecent exposure incident.

Arriving officers learned the two victims, ages 10 and 11, were walking to a home in the unit block of Heather Road when they observed Michael sitting in a car outside of his residence, according to Duffy. As the girls continued to walk, Michael made eye contact with the girls and lifted his body from the seat to expose his genitals, Duffy said.

Michael Lenihan was taken into custody on Friday January, 6, 2017, without incident and charged with two counts of indecent exposure in the first degree. He was later arraigned and released on $2,000 unsecured bail and issued a no contact order.
