Store Robbery Leads To Police Search In Bear

Bear – The New Castle County Police are currently investigating the robbery of Mack’s Mini Mart located in the 100 block of Mario Drive in Bear Friday evening.

On Friday January 1, 2017 evening at approximately 5:40 p.m., County Police responded to Mack’s Mini Mart for a robbery. The employee advised she was on the telephone and standing behind the cash register when an unknown suspect entered the store and ordered the employee to open the register.

The suspect then removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the store on foot running through the park and across Rivers End Drive, according to police

The suspect has been described as an African-American male, thin build, approximately 5’10 tall, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants and sneakers.
