Shots Fired, Car Set On Fire In Dover

Dover – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an incident in which two unknown suspects fired several shots into a residence north of Dover in mid-January, according to Director of Public Information Sergeant Richard D. Bratz.

Bratz said that the preliminary investigation began on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, after troopers were called to respond to the unit block of Harriet Street, Dover in reference to a shots fired complaint.

It was determined two unknown suspects fired shots at an occupied residence, said Bratz. After the shooting the subjects fled the area northbound on US 13 in a dark extended cab pickup truck. Two female residents of the home, who were sleeping at the time of the shooting, were not injured.

Bratz said that another investigation was initiated as suspects had returned to the same residence on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at approximately 1:04 a.m. and threw an incendiary device under one of the victim’s vehicles which caught on fire.

They fled the scene in a silver or grey four door sedan. There were no injuries.

The suspects were described as two males, one of whom is described as a black male approximately 5’07” tall.
