Police Release More Information On Newark ATM Kidnapper Case: Read Story Here Newark – New Castle County Police are currently investigating an attempted kidnapping and robbery in the community of the Bluffs Apartments, according to Police Spokesman J.P. Piser.
Pisre said that last night, Monday March 6, 2017 at about 6:30 p.m., County Police were dispatched to the area of Sheldon Drive in the Bluffs Apartments for a reported attempted kidnapping and robbery. Upon arrival police located the female victim who advised that she was approached by the suspect when she was walking to her apartment building, said Piser.
She described the suspect as a 5’7”- 5’8” tall average build man with his face covered, wearing dark clothing. The victim advised that the suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money, and forced her to her apartment. When they arrived at the apartment, another adult resident answered the door and the suspect fled on foot.
This investigation is in the preliminary stages, but detectives believe it is the same suspect as the Top of the Hill and Arundel Apartments incidents.
