Crash Leaves 73-Year-Old Man In Hospital

 

Middletown – At approximately 12:30 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics, Odessa, Port Penn Volunteer, and Delaware City Fire Companies were dispatched to Route 1 Southbound in the area of the Toll Plaza. There was a report of a motor vehicle crash with a subject not alert, according to NCC Paramedic Spokeswoman Yvonne T. Russell

Russell said that upon arrival County Paramedics found a 73-year-old male, in care of emergency medical technicians, (EMT’s) from Odessa Fire Company.

The patient suffered a head injury. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Odessa Fire Company ambulance with County Paramedics. The patient is in serious condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
