Edgemore Pizza Shop Robbed At Gunpoint

Wilmington – Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Wilmington area pizza shop that occurred yesterday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey Hale.

Hale said the investigation thus far has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 4:16 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017, as a male suspect entered the Bella Italy Pizza located at 4817 Governor Printz Boulevard. The suspect approached the sales counter where he then displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.

The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then exited the business and fled in an unknown direction. The employee was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black male. He was 27-28 years of age, 5’08”-5’10” tall, weighed approximately 160 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, a black hat, and sneakers.
