Two Drivers Die After Head-On Collision In Cecil County

Cecil County MD. – On Sunday April 23, 2017, at approximately 11:05 PM, Troopers of the Maryland State Police North East barrack responded to Telegraph Rd (Rte 273) and Little Elk Creek Road for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles, according to Maryland State Police.

Arriving Troopers found the two vehicles were fully engulfed in flames. Witnesses stated that a 2007 Dodge Charger was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed passing vehicles by crossing the center line into eastbound traffic, according to authorities.

The 1997 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling in the eastbound lane when it was struck head on by the Dodge Charger. Both vehicles were solely occupied by the drivers; both of which were pronounced decease at the scene by EMS personnel. The names of both parties is being with held at this time pending positive identification, and notification to the next of kin.
