26-Year-Old Man Shot In Wilmington

Wilmington – On May 5, 2017 at approximately 11:47 p.m.,  Wilmington Police Officer’s on proactive patrol in the area of 24th & Lamotte Street when they notified dispatchers of gunshots in the area.

A ShotSpotter notification was then received for the same area. The officer’s were able to locate a 26-year-old male victim at a residence in the 100 block of E. 24 th Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg.

The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
