Head On Crash Shuts Down Intersection In Newark, One In Hospital

Newark – Just after 9:00 this morning, Monday May 15, 2017, a black Dodge Neon and a black Toyota Avalon crashed at the intersection of Stanton Ogletown Road And North Harmony Road in Newark.

Rescue crews from Mill Creek Fire Company were dispatched to the scene along State Police and New Castle County Paramedics (NCC). Arriving units placed the driver of the Neon into the Mill Creek ambulance with undetermined injuries. Arriving NCC Paramedics assisted Mill Creek in the ambulance as the patient was transported to Christina Hospital.

The woman driving the Avalon was not injured in the accident.

The intersection remained closed for about an hour as the scene was cleared.
