Man Admitted In Extremely Critical Condition After Being Shot Has Died

The victim from this shooting investigation has died from his injuries. He has been identified as 22-year-old Sherman Pride.

Wilmington – On May 18, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the 2400 block of Claymont Street in reference to a shot spotter alert as well as 911 emergency phone calls.

Upon officers arrival in the area, they located a male victim in his early 20’s suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

He was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to Christiana Hospital via ambulance where the victim is listed in extremely critical condition.
