Student Apartment Building Evacuated On South Main Street In Newark

Newark – Just before 6:00 p.m. this evening firefighters from Station 9 were called to 100 South Main Street, the apartment building where Buffalo Wild Wings is located.

No smoke or fire was evident from the outside of the building. A heavy flow of water from the fire suppression system rushed down the outside of building as the fire alarm sounded.

The incident closed the restaurant for the night.The restaurant is expected to be reopened tomorrow, according to an employee who answered the phone.

The entire building was evacuated while fire crews worked the scene.
