Video Of Suspect’s Car In Fatal Dunleith Hit-And-Run


Dunleith – The New Castle County Police, Traffic Services Unit is currently searching for the vehicle shown in the released cellphone video captured just shortly after the fatal hit and run that left Victor Madric, 52, deceased in the community of Dunleith.

Dunleith – Investigators believe this vehicle may have been involved in the hit and run that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 7th at the intersection of Anderson Drive and Moorehouse Drive.

A witness described the operator of the vehicle as a light skinned female with long dark colored hair in a braid.

The New Castle County Police have identified the victim of the Sunday morning fatal hit-and-run in Dunleith (near Minquadale), according to NCCPD Spokesman JP Piser.

Piser said investigators have identified the victim as Victor Madric, 52, from the 400 block of Robinson Drive.  The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was located by responding units in the roadway suffering from severe injuries.  Madric was transported to the Christiana Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Further investigation revealed alcohol may be a factor in the crash, said Piser.  A witness reported observing a white or light colored sedan run over Madric and continue on Anderson Drive without stopping.

Wilmington – New Castle County Police (NCCPD) are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the community of Dunleith (near Minquadale), according to NCCPD Spokesman JP Piser

Piser said earlier today (May 7) at about 12:00 a.m., County Police were dispatched to the area of Anderson Dr and Morehouse Dr for a hit-and-run crash with a pedestrian struck. Upon arrival, officers located the 52-year-old male pedestrian in the roadway suffering severe injuries consistent with a motor vehicle collision. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Traffic Services Unit Detectives responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation. Through the investigation, detectives determined that the victim was struck by a light-colored sedan. Police searched the area for a striking vehicle, but were unable to locate it.
