First Responders Show Off Their Gear In Newark

Newark – Kids at the George Wilson Center had some pretty cool visitors today. The Newark Police, Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder and Trooper 4 from the Delaware State Police stopped by to give the kids a look at their awesome gear and to teach them about safety.

The annual Safety Town summer program put on by the city showcases various types of emergency vehicles and apparatus used by local first responders in their duties.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) impressed all in attendance as it landed on the baseball filed just behind the center.

Safety Town is a national program teaching critical safety skills.
