Kirkwood Highway Game Stop Robbed At Gunpoint

Wilmington – Delaware State Police is currently investigating the armed robbery of a Wilmington area Game Stop store which occurred yesterday evening, according to Public Information Officer Master Corporal Jeffrey Hale.

Hale said the initial investigation has determined that the incident happened at approximately 7:04 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017, after a male suspect entered the Game Stop located at 4345 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington. The suspect approached the sales counter where he confronted a male employee with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register, according to Hale.

The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then exited the store and was last seen running in a southbound direction across Kirkwood Highway. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male. He was 25-30 years of age, 5’10”-6’00” tall, weighed 120-150 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, a black scarf on his head, a black mask, and glasses.
