Newark – At approximately 1:30 this afternoon Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, along with Delaware State Police responded to the intersection of Martindale Drive and E. Chestnut Hill Road for reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
Arriving crews found a van with rear-end damage and a motorcycle with heavy front-end damage. The rider of the motorcycle was receiving treatment as Troopers investigated the accident.
E. Chestnut Hill Road traffic was diverted into the ShopRite parking lot as crews removed debris from the roadway.
After receiving treatment from medics the motorcycle rider refused transport to the hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
