Man Trapped Upside Down In Retention Pond, Flown to Hospital


New Castle – Fire crews from across New Castle County are on scene on East Basin Road near Route 13.

A 60-year-old man was just pulled from his vehicle that landed upside down in a retention pond. The man was trapped in his vehicle for 20 minutes before rescue crews could pull him from the water.

Trooper 4 has transported the man to the trauma center.
