Firefighter Injured In Canby Park Rowhome Fire Returns To Work

Wilmington – The Wilmington Fire Department released a Facebook post yesterday announcing that Brad Speakman has returned to to service after almost a year. Speakman was injured in a last year Canby Park rowhome fire that took the lives of three other Wilmington firefighters.

It is with great pleasure Wilmington Fire Department announce the return of Brad Speakman after 347 days recovering from injuries sustained on 9/24/2016. Brad you exemplify the meaning of determination and perseverance beyond any means imaginable. It absolutely outstanding seeing you back in that WFD uniform. Great days ahead.
