Happening Now: Multiple Accidents Causing Lane Closures On I-95

Newark – Delaware State Police, along with rescue crews from the Christina Fire Company responded to the area of I-95 SB at Route 1 for reports of a rollover crash just before 8:00 this morning.

The first trooper to arrive was able to make contact with the occupant of the vehicle but could not reach them due to the foliage. Within in seconds fire crews arrived on scene and utilized a ladder to get to the patient.

The driver of the car was transported to Christana Hospital with unspecified injuries.

In an second incident that was dispatched just after 8:30, crews have responded to I-95 NB at Churchman’s Marsh for a vehicle on fire. The fire has the shoulder and the the two left lanes shutdown.

Traffic is backing up to Route 1 in the nb lanes. Onlookers in the south bound lanes are are causing delays past 141.
