Kenton – The Delaware State Police are currently conducting a death investigation after two people were found deceased at their home in the town of Kenton, according to Master Corporal Gary Fournier.

Fournier said around 11:00 a.m. this morning, Thursday October 19, 2017, a relative responded to a residence located in the unit block of Cooper Street to check on his elderly in-laws and bring them breakfast.

Officials said upon entering the locked house with a key, the relative discovered the husband and wife in the bedroom with apparent gunshot wounds, said Fournier. The relative then called 9-1-1 with his findings. Both the male and female were pronounced dead at scene.

Fournier said that police believe this is an isolated incident and that there are no concerns for the community.
