Weekly Wilmington Shooting Report – Oct 16, 2017 – Oct 22, 2015

Monday

No Shooting Reported

Tuesday

On Tuesday, 17 October 2017, at approximately 2:16 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the area of 6th and N. Jefferson Streets reference to a SHOT SPOTTER notification for several rounds of gun fire.

While officers were on scene, a 26-year-old male had walked into the Wilmington Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his left foot.

(Death) On Monday, 16 October 2017, at approximately 4:20 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 500 block of W. 6th Street with regard to a shooting.

Upon the officers arrival, they located the Victim, DWAYNE GRIMES, 19, of WILMINGTON. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his torso.

The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics, then was transported via ambulance to the Christiana Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury.

Wednesday

(Death) On Tuesday, 16 October 2017, at approximately 4:38 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 600 block of Springer Street with regard to a CPR in progress.

Upon the officers arrival, they met with EMS members from the Wilmiington Fire Department who were tending to an unconsiuos male, who was located on a living room couch.

It is apparent that the male subject sustained what appears to be a gunshot wound to his torso.

At this time, the circumstances in this incident is unclear. This is a developing story and updates will be provided as they become available.

Thursday

The Wilmington Police Department, with cooperation from surrounding in-state and out-of-state police agencies, conducted a search for a RADEE L PRINCE who was wanted in connection with both a multiple shooting incident in Edgewood, Maryland and another shooting incident at mid-morning on Thurday in the 2800 Block of Northeast Boulevard in Wilmington, Delaware. RADEE L PRINCE was captured in Newark, Delaware later that evening and is currently being held on $2.1 Millon Dollar Bail.

Friday

Saturday

On Saturday, 21 October 2017, at approximately 8:30 am, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 1600 block of W. 4th Street with regard to a shooting.

Upon the officers arrival they located an 18-year-old male who sustained gunshot wounds to both of his legs. The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics, then was transported to St. Francis Hospital for further treatment. The victim is currently listed in stable condition.
