Newark’s St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Hit By Burglar Once Again

Newark – The Newark Police Department is investigating a second burglary at the Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church located at 701 S. College Avenue.  The latest incident occurred sometime during the overnight hours of Monday November 6th to Tuesday November 7th, when an unknown suspect broke into the church and removed cash and electronics, according to police.

 

The first incident occurred between October 27, 2017 at 6:00p .m. and October 29, 2017 at 7:45 a.m. In that incident officials determined that the suspect’s point of entry into the church was through a window, which was found to have been damaged.

A filing cabinet inside the church was also found to have been damaged and an undisclosed amount of cash and a laptop were stolen, according to police.
