Update: Troopers Arrest Suspect Wanted In String Of Robberies

Rehoboth Beach- The Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit has arrested Cody B. Reeves, 24 of Rehoboth Beach in connection with multiple armed robberies and other non-related charges.

Original Story

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a wanted subject in connection with four recent armed robberies, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said Cody B. Reeves, 24 of Rehoboth Beach, is wanted for four Counts of Robbery First Degree, four counts of Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Burglary Second Degree, and multiple felony thefts.

Reeves is believed to be operating a silver, 2004 Mazda 6, DE registration 145356.

Reeves is wanted in connection with the following incidents, according to Jaffe.

Incident 1

Troopers said the preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred around 7:24 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, as a male subject armed with a knife entered the Valero Gas Station located at 25576 Deep Branch Road, Milton. The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and demanded cash from the register, according to officials. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect was able to remove an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the store in a south west direction. The clerk was not injured.

Incident 2

Troopers said the preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred on Sunday, November 05, 2017 at approximately 4:31 p.m., as a male subject, armed with a sharp instrument entered the Cigar & Cigarette World located at 18701 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach. The suspect approached a store employee at the counter and demanded money, according to officials.  The store employee complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled in a south direction. The employee was not injured.

Incident 3

Troopers said the preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred around 7:05 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, as a male subject armed with a sharp instrument entered the Valero Gas Station located at 20880 Coastal Hwy Rehoboth Beach, DE . The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and demanded cash from the register, according to officials.  The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect was able to remove an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured.

Incident 4

Troopers said the preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred around 9:07 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, as a male subject armed with a sharp instrument entered the Shell Food Mart, located at 24851 John J. Williams Highway, formerly known as the Dash In. The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and demanded cash from the register, according to officials.  The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect was able to remove an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured.
