Fire Destroys Detached Garage In Newark’s Todd Estates Neighborhood

Newark – As crews were clearing the two alarm fire at the University of Delaware last night, they learned that a detached garage was on fire in the unit block of Todd Lane. Firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with crews from the Christiana and Delaware City Fire Companies  responded to the scene.

Upon arrival crews reported fire showing and began a defensive attack with two lines. Firefighters worked for over an hour to bring that blaze under control.
