Police: Fugitive Arrested On Drug Charges Released On Unsecured Bond

Dover – On Monday, January 8th, 2018, just before 11:00 am, The Dover Police Department and Delaware Probation and Parole arrested 24-year-old Shannon Johnson on drug charges, according to police. Officials said  Johnson was wanted by the Dover Police Department for domestic related offenses that occurred in July of 2017.

When officers made contact with Johnson, at the Super 8 Motel, located at 348 North Dupont Highway, they observed a large quantity of marijuana in plain view, according to police. As a result of the arrest, officers located 1,149.8 grams (40 ounces) of marijuana, $1,673 dollars in suspected drug proceeds, and packaging material for resale of marijuana, officials said.  Johnson was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana,  Possession of Marijuana (Tier 1), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, due to a 1-month old baby present in the room, according to officials.

He was released on unsecured bond.
