Newark – Newark Police Department is investigating an offensive touching that occurred at Plato’s Closet, 424 Suburban Drive, on 1/5/18 at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to Lt. Fred Nelson.
Nelson said the victim, a 27-year-old female employee, reported that a customer became disorderly when she learned that a pair of jeans was not on sale. The female customer was asked to leave the store and proceeded to spit on the arm of the victim.
According to the victim, the female customer’s name may be Julia as she was overheard speaking to a male companion in the store who referred to her by that name, said Nelson. She was described as a white female, 50-years-old, large build, blonde hair, wearing a blue jacket.
