Serious Accident Near Dover Sends One To Trauma By Air

Dover-Area – Just after 9:00 this morning rescue crews with the Leipsic Volunteer Fire Company responded to the intersection of Leipsic Road and Bayside Drive for reports of a vehicle accident with entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews found a injured man in his 50’s trapped in his vehicle and began work to extricate the patient. Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle slammed into a brick wall before coming to rest in a ditch.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the accident and transported the patient Christiana Hospital’s Trauma Center.
