Two Shooting Victims Walk Into Two Separate Hospitals

Wilmington – On Saturday, 24 February 2018, at approximately 10:25 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the St. Francis Hospital with regard to a shooting victim who walked into the hospital.

Upon the officers arrival they made contact with a 17-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm.

The male victim was not cooperative with investigators, according to police. It has yet to be determined where this shooting occured.

The male victim is in stable condition.

Just under an hour and a half after the first shooting, at approximately 11:52 pm, Wilmington Police were patrolling in the area of 7th and Spruce Spruce Streets when they heard several gunshots.

While canvasing the area, officers determined that the shooting scene was located in the 900 block of Bennnett Street.

While police were at the scene, they were advised that a shooting victim had arrived at the Wilmington Hospital by a private vehicle.

Officers responded and upon their arrival they made contact with an 21-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder area. The victim is listed in stable condition.
