Two Critically Injured In Georgetown House Fire

Georgetown – The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating this afternoon’s house fire in Georgetown, Delaware that critically injured two occupants, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said the Georgetown Fire Company responded to the unit block of Teaberry Lane shortly after 12:00 pm. Firefighters found smoke inside the house and two occupants injured. Both occupants were transported to the Beebe Hospital in Lewes, Delaware in critical condition suffering from burns.

State fire investigators are currently on the scene searching for the fire’s origin and cause. Fire damage was estimated at $5,000. This fire remains under investigation.
