Friday Night Crash Sends Two To Area Hospital

New Castle – Last evening, at approximately 6:00, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from the Christiana and Wilmington Manor Fire Companies were dispatched to the area of Route 1 Southbound and Christiana Bypass for a motor vehicle crash, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal David J. McKinney, Jr.

Arriving County Paramedics found a multiple vehicle crash with two patients in of care, according to McKinney. The first patient, a 22-year-old female, was in the care of Emergency Medical Technicians from the Christiana Fire Company upon the arrival of County Paramedics.

She was experiencing body wide pain and was transported to Christiana Hospital on board an ambulance from the Christiana Fire Company, with a New Castle County Paramedic accompanying. The other patient was transported to the hospital on board an ambulance from the Wilmington Manor Fire Company for evaluation. Both patients were stable at the time of transport.

The Delaware State Police were on scene and are investigating the crash.
