Newark – The Newark Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a burglary suspect. On Tuesday January 23, 2018 the Newark Police responded to the 500 block of Scholar Drive, University Courtyard Apartments, for a report of a burglary.

Officers contacted a 19-year-old male who advised that his laptop and backpack were stolen from his residence between 7:40 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. He had gone into his bedroom and heard the front door open and assumed it was his roommate. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, wearing a tan cargo vest, a dark colored long sleeve shirt, green baseball hat and jeans.
