Newark – As a result of a month long investigation, members of the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force (GTF), have arrested a Philadelphia man on drug and weapons offenses, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.
Austin said based on intelligence information gathered throughout the month of March 2018, GTF members were able to develop a silver Lincoln MKZ with Pennsylvania tags, as a vehicle suspected of being involved in illegal drug transactions that were taking place in the parking lots of businesses along the Churchman’s Road/Route 7 corridor.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2018, GTF members observed a silver Lincoln MKZ in the parking lot of Miller’s Ale House, located at 1323 Churchman’s Road, at which time they made contact with the driver, who was identified as Eric T. Dunn, 29, of Philadelphia. A search of Dunn and the vehicle, produced a large sum of suspected drug money, multiple rounds of 9mm ammunition along with a key for a motel room at the adjacent Days Inn, located at 900 Churchman’s Road, according to Austin.
Austin said through further investigation Dunn was able to be linked to two rooms at the Days Inn which were subsequently searched. As a result of the combined searches of Dunn, the vehicle and the two motel rooms, the following was recovered:

225 rounds of 9mm ammunition
178 grams heroin
81 grams crack cocaine
57 grams powder cocaine
10 grams methamphetamine
8.5 dosage units of Suboxone
59 Alprazolam tablets
$5,293.00 in suspected drug proceeds
An assortment of drug paraphernalia to include: blenders, strainers, scales and thousands of bags commonly used for the packaging of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine.
Dunn was transported to Delaware State Police Troop 2 where he was arrested and formally charged with the following:
3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity
4 counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance
2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity
1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
1 count of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
1 count of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
1 count of Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of Drugs
1 count of Possession of Marijuana
1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
1 count of Conspiracy 2nd Degree
Dunn was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $159,750.00 cash bail.
The investigation also led to the identification of a second suspect, Iman M. Douglas, 38, also of Philadelphia, as being involved in the drug operation, said Austin. Douglas is described as a black male, 6’4”, 200 lbs. Warrants are currently on file charging Douglas with the identical crimes as Dunn.
