Bear – Sometime before 4:30 this afternoon the New Castle County Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit, along with county and state police were dispatched to 100 E Scotland Drive for reports of a suspicious package.
Reports from the scene indicate that the item may have contained hazardous materials.
Authorities blocked the entrance to the St. Andrews Apartments while crews worked to clear the item.
Police have yet to release details regarding the incident.
