County Police Charge Man With Breaking Into Cars In Alban Park

NEW CASTLE COUNTY POLICE ARREST SUBJECT FOR BREAKING INTO CARS

Wilmington – New Castle County Police Arrest 37-year-old Wilmington Man for Theft from Motor Vehicles, according to M/Cpl. Michel Eckerd.

Eckerd said on Saturday, April 14, patrol officers from the New Castle County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Homestead Road for a subject breaking into vehicles. Officers arrived at the address and were shortly thereafter able to locate 37-year-old, Derrick Edwards. Derrick Edwards had a large amount of stolen property in his possession and was taken into custody and arrested without incident, according to Eckerd.

Derrick Edwards was transported to New Castle County Police and charged with one count of Felony Burglary Third Degree, five counts of Misdemeanor Theft, and one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Derrick Edwards was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held on $5750 secured bail.
