Just In: Talleyville House Fire Sends One To Hospital

Talleyville –  At 9:49 this morning firefighters from the Talleyville Fire Company, along with mutual aid from across New Castle County and Delaware County, Pa., responded to the unit block of Bethel Street, for reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival, crews reported fire showing from the first floor and began an immediate attack.

Reports from the scene indicate that two  occupants fled the home after a fire was discovered in a bedroom.

Two patients were evaluated by New Castle County paramedics at the scene. A 74-year old woman who lives in the home refused medical care. A 50-year-old male has been transported to Wilmington Hospital with undetermined injuries.

The fire was brought under control within minutes of firefighters arrival.
