Child Struck By Vehicle On Route 40 In New Castle, Flown To AI DuPont By Air

New Castle – Firefighters and ambulance crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) have responded to the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Wilton Blvd (near the WalMart) for reports of a pedestrian struck.

It’s not clear how many people have been injured at this time. Trooper 4 has transported one patient to AI DuPont.

Route 40 wb was completely shut down while crews worked to treat the patient(s) and clear the scene.
