Teenage Girl In Stable Condition After Being Struck By Vehicle In Middletown

At approximately 6:05 last evening, New Castle County Paramedics and Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown were dispatched to the 100 block of East Lake Street in Middletown for a pedestrian struck.

Upon arrival New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, 15-year-old female, in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s), according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell sai the patient suffered a head injury and body wide abrasions. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Middletown Police Department is investigating the crash.
