File

Cecilton, Md – At around 7:30 this morning rescue crews from Cecil County, Maryland, along with mutual aid from Delaware rescue crews, responded to 249 South Bohemia Ave. for reports of a rollover crash with injuries.

Upon arrival, crews reported that a vehicle with heavy front end and roof damage was off the roadway, with one person trapped.

Crews worked for approximately thirty minutes to extricate a man in his early 40’s. That patient was conscious and alert, according to reports.

Trooper 1 (Maryland State Police Aviation) transported the patient to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Indications are that a off-duty Perryville, Md. Police Officer came upon the crash and alerted Cecil County dispatch that the driver was trapped with a head injury.

Early reports indicate that the man was trapped in his vehicle after he crashed sometime overnight. He was there for several hours, according to one report.
