Shots Fired During Home Invasion In Dover

Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating a home invasion in Dover East Estates that occurred early Friday morning, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 1:08 AM, officers were called to the Dover East Estates Mobile Home Park for a home invasion. The 35-year-old female victim advised that two black male suspects attempted to force their way into her home through a back door.

One of the suspects was armed with a gun and fired into the home during a struggle to keep the suspects out. None of the occupants of the residence were injured. Both suspects were described as being black males, with one being approximately 6′, medium build, and wearing a maroon colored sweater with jeans.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
