Just In: Firefighters Respond To House Fire In Newark

Just after 10:40 this morning, Friday, June 8, 2018, firefighters from the Christiana Fire Company, along with firefighters from across New Castle County responded to 20 block Gurnsey Drive, in the Brookbend development, for reports of a residential structure fire.

Upon arrival, crews reported smoke showing from the eaves of the home. Firefighters quickly entered the structure to investigate the source of the fire. Finding fire in the attic, crews made an aggressive fire attack while simultaneously searching the residence for occupants.
