Reports: Troopers Search For Bloodied Man In The Woods Near Summit Airport, Possibly Injured In Auto Accident

Middletown – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a motor vehicle accident that reportedly occurred around 11:00 this morning, on Summit Bridge Road in the area of the Summit Airpory.

Upon their arrival, Troopers initiated a search for a man in his twenties that had reportedly walked into the wood line. It’s not clear if the man was involved in the accident.

The search for a man, who was reportedly bleeding from his head and face, was joined by Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation).

The aviation unit quickly located a man fitting the description in the area of Jessica Drive and Bethel Church Road.

Troopers descended on the area and located the subject. Rescue crews from the Volunteer Hose Company Of Middletown also responded to the location to treat the man for his injuries.

Further details surrounding the accident and the search for the subject are not readily available at this time.
