Happening Now: Pedestrian Reportedly Struck By Vehicle In Middletown After Altercation, Flown To Hospital

Middletown – Just before 10:00 this evening rescue crews from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Tropper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the 4000 block of Summit Bridge Road for reports of a pedestrian struck.

Upon arrival, crews reported that a victim of an accident was located in the Valero gas station parking lot near Summit Airport.

Early indications are that the person was struck by a vehicle at a different location before being found at the gas station.

Trooper 4 was observed lifting off from Summit Airport via a DelDOT traffic camera before it landed in the field behind the Valero.

Command informed Trooper 4 that they would be utilized.
