Troopers Update Prices Corner Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating a bank robbery that took place at the Prices Corner Wells Fargo branch, Thursday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 4:05 p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the Wells Fargo bank, located at 3215 Old Capitol Trail, Wilmington. The suspect approached an employee at the teller window and presented a demand note, instructing her to turn over money or she would be physically harmed, according to Austin. The employee complied with the demand by turning over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who then exited the bank. The suspect was last being seen fleeing eastbound from the bank on foot. The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male with a dark complexion, 20-30 years of age, 6’1”, with a thin build.

Prices Corner – The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of the Wells Fargo bank located in the Prices Corner Shopping Center.

Just after 4:00 this afternoon, Thursday, August 9, 2018, Troopers responded to the area and began a search for the suspect.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) hovered above the scene searching for about 15 minutes according to reports.

State Police have not released any information regarding the incident at this early stage.
