Authorities Update Pedestrian Struck Accident On 896 In Newark – Video

At approximately 7:50 last evening, New Castle County Paramedics, Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder Company and the Delaware State Police helicopter were dispatched to the intersection of South College Avenue and Interstate 95 Northbound for a pedestrian struck, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, 23-year-old male, who suffered injuries to his back and arm. The patient was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police Helicopter (Trooper 4). The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
