Summit Bridge Road Closed Due To Serious Accident

Middletown – Rescue crews from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with New Castle County Paramedics, Trooper 4 and LifeNet’s Helicopter have responded to the 4000 block of Summit Bridge Road for a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, Command reported that one subject was trapped and requested assistance from the Odessa Fire Company.

Update: Although originally dispatched to the accident Trooper 4 did not respond to the scene. LifeNet did respond to the scene.

Delaware State Police issued the following statement:

(Road Closed) Summit Bridge Rd. closed at Armstrong Corner Rd. Middletown. Due to motor vehicle crash.

We’re working to gather more information.
